Disney Wonder of Friendship, the Experience

Disney are celebrating their 100th birthday this year and as part of those celebrations they have a travelling pop up experience celebrating what Disney does best, friendship. Disney Wonder of Friendship, the experience was on The Strand in London from 12th to 21st May as an immersive friendship experience.

The experience starts with being issued a friendship card for your group to scan as you go round. There are 4 different areas themed around 4 of Disney’s famous friendships; Alice in Wonderland, Lilo and Stitch, The Lion King and Mickey and Pals. Each room has a different photo experience or activity and also a special snapchat filter to download and use in the room. Our favourite area was the Lion King and the musical swings although Pip is still Stitch’s number 1 fan!

The experience ends with a grand finale which was a little disappointing as we weren’t exactly sure what we were meant to be doing, and a group photo that we got both printed copies and a digital copy.

There was also a design your own Disney merchandise station where you could either use the touch screens or the VR to design t-shirts and hoodies.

The experience is advertised as 18+ but under 18s are allowed if accompanied by an adult. There were plenty of children there and Pip probably enjoyed it more than I did so it’s definitely child friendly.

After London, Wonder of Friendship, the Experience will be travelling to Berlin from 9th to 18th June and then Paris from 30th June to 9th July.

Accessibility:

The venue was fully wheelchair accessible. There are some strobe lights and loud noises but you are able to skip areas if needed and staff are always on hand to help. There is a short introduction at the beginning that does not have subtitles so is not accessible but other than that there is no other spoken information.

There are toilets available at the venue.
