Go everywhere, Do everything

The hotel is located above the Orchardgate shopping centres in the Orchard area of Singapore. It’s modern, clean and comfortable and even has robot room service.

The hotel:

We picked the hotel because of the rooftop pool and view of Marina Bay Sands and it was and excellent choice. We had a panorama club room which not only had amazing views of the neighbourhood but also gave us access to the club lounge with cold drinks, hot drinks and snacks throughout the day. A separate breakfast is also served in the club lounge if you prefer to eat somewhere quieter.

The club lounge, pool and gym are on the top floor. The pool has a beautiful deck with sun beds and chairs as well as a bar area so you can watch the sun go down with a drink.

On the same floor as the hotel reception there is the main restaurant where breakfast is served.

We had a panoramic room with amazing views from both the bedroom and the bathroom, there’s nothing like lying in the bath and watching the city go by from your window (there are day and night blinds if the idea of being on display to the city isn’t for you).

The food:

The breakfast buffet was truly epic with a selection of food from around the world that included a noodle station, fruits and yogurts, pancakes, Dahl and many other options. There is also a coffee to go machine outside of the restaurant and in the lobby.

The restaurant also offers all day dining with buffet and a la carte options and also in room dining which we didn’t try as we were too busy out and about.

Room service robots – there are two robots in the lobby waiting to bring you either a chocolate or a cookie surprise to your room. You simply dial room service and ask for one and the robot will bring it up to the room. Pip spend our whole stay asking if she could get one and was delighted to answer the door to the robot with her cookies. We then stalked it back to the lifts to see how it used them!!

Around the hotel:

The hotel is above a large shopping centre with plenty food and drink options as well as shops. the are also several other shops and shopping centres nearby. There is a metro station right next door and the hop on hop off bus stops across the street on the far side of the shopping centre. It was a great location for having lots of things nearby and also great for getting to the main sights in Singapore.

Getting there:

We took a taxi from the airport to hotel using the airport taxi rank which was really easy. We also used the hop on hop off bus, the metro and taxis to get around. All of which were very easy.

Our thoughts:

We loved this hotel! The rooms were great, the facilities amazing and the rooftop pool was gorgeous especially being able to over look Marina bay Sands. the room service robots were a great touch and really made Pip’s stay and the breakfast was amazing!
