“The pudding dumpling are life changing” – my sister (June 2025)
My sister and I had already eaten at the Carnaby restaurant and this time we decided to take Pip and introduce her to dumpling heaven at Ugly Dumpling and try the Fitzrovia restaurant. Firstly, it got 10/10 as we were in London on a ridiculously hot weekend and their air conditioning was spot on. Secondly, the staff were super friendly. Thirdly, we have been dreaming about the pudding dumplings since the last time we visited.
The Menu
The menu is simple, a selection of savoury dumpling and sides and then some sweet dumplings to finish. There is a fabulous selection of vegetarian options, and a couple of vegan choices. As my sister and I are both vegetarian we made Pip try some meat dumplings just so we could get an opinion on them too.
You can choose one of the platters which give you are selection of either meat of vegetarian dumplings or pick individual flavours which come in portions of three.
Sides include noodles and cucumber salad.
Dessert is a choice of Nutella, pecan pie or apple pie dumplings or a platter with a section of all three. They will honestly change your life they are so good so make sure you leave space to try them.
Allergies
Ugly Dumpling have a full Gluten Free menu and all gluten free food is served on different colour crockery. Unfortunately they can’t guarantee no cross contamination due to the flour used in the kitchen. Other allergens are marked on the menu.

Our Thoughts
Ugly Dumpling is one of our favourite restaurants in London, we will be back. Our go to order is the Veggie platter and cucumber salad to share and then a dessert platter to share. Pip tried the meat platter.
