Hoiana is an independent restaurant in Saw Mill Yard off Water lane in Leeds. In lieu of setting off on an epic adventure this summer we are aiming to eat our way around the world locally instead and as Pip is obsessed with noodles, our first stop was Vietnam.

The Menu
The menu is a selection of Pho, Stir fry, Fried rice and some special dishes. There are lots of options to customise your meal with different types of protein and sides as well as a selection of starters.
I went for Tofu and Mushroom Pho in veggie broth, Andy chose the Beef short rib Pho in beef broth and Pip picked Vietnamese sweet and sour duck with a side of fried noodles. We also had a veggie platter for 2 as a starter and finished with Vietnamese coffee.
There is a separate lunch menu and the drinks menu is extensive with Vietnamese beers, fresh juices, iced teas, bubble teas and cocktails.

Our Thoughts
Hoiana was a huge hit. Pip loved her duck and the Pho was delicious. The portions are so huge that I took half mine home and had it for lunch the next day. The juices are amazing and the salted creme Vietnamese coffee is worth a return visit for.
We’ll definitely put it on our list of places to return to.
