Ibiza Sunsets

Last weeks adventure was one that I never thought I would see myself doing, a weekend in Ibiza! Aside from the fact it is so not me, everyone seems to have a difficult time getting their heads around the fact we went to Ibiza for the weekend! In our defence, Pip had a training day off school on the Friday and we found perfect flights on Thursday evening that gave us 2 and 1/2 days there, so why not?

If at any point in my life you’d have told me that I would find myself in San Antonio, Ibiza, I would never have believed you. Drinking and clubbing holidays are so not my thing and although there’s nowhere that I won’t go, places like Benidorm and Magaluf are very far down the list.

So why Ibiza? Well the flights worked perfectly, a bit of sunshine and Pip’s cousin is currently living there so we went for it.

The weekend was booked during a particularly busy time at work so I literally found a blog post on North East Family Fun about their trip with their teen daughter and booked the same hotel. No research at all!

We had the most lovely time, we sunbathed, we ate lovely food (shout out to the hummous by the pool), we explored and we people watched. It gave Pip and I a chance to chat, talk about school and her plans for the future. We watched some amazing sunsets and we were entertained by some very interesting people.

I don’t think it will be high on my list of places to go back to but we had a fabulous time for all the reasons that you wouldn’t associate with Ibiza and just managed to miss the torrential rains and floods that happened the day after we left.
