This week has involved an eclectic set of adventures as well as a busy week of work.
There is a major advantage to being a Guide Leader and that is all the fun stuff you get to have a go at or go to under the guise of it being ‘for the girls’! Many of my Mr Benn moments have been at Guides and this week’s was a lot of fun. We had David from the Mobile Police Museum visit us, bringing in a selection of objects and memorabilia in for the girls to look at and learn about. The best part was being let loose on his dressing up bag of police uniforms and hats (I did let the girl’s go first).

The second adventure was an Autumnal one of Pip’s request. She wanted to go Pumpkin Picking so we booked a slot at Yorkshire Pumpkins and it was the perfect backdrop for some Autumnal photographs. Would highly recommend for the friendly atmosphere and the huge selection of pumpkins big and small. Watch this space for an attempt at making pumpkin soup in the next few weeks.

The third adventure was a quick trip across the Penines to Manchester for the wedding reception of one of Andy’s colleagues. We got dressed up, treated ourselves to Yo! Sushi and had a really lovely evening.
