Wreaths and Christmas Markets

Yes, I know it is still only November but Pip loves Christmas and it’s just so twinkly so we are fully embracing it!

On Wednesday I had the loveliest of evening making our Christmas wreath at a friend’s house. It’s the second year we have done this with another friend who runs wreath making sessions and it’s so lovely to sit with a glass of something festive making your wreath. There was also lots of cheese!

On Friday with the same friends (because we hadn’t quite put the world to rights on Wednesday), we had a lovely meal at Jodhpur in Harrogate. I had a delicious vegetable biryani which was well worth braving the cold and dark for.

Saturday was a very busy day for Pip and I as we tried to cram as much Christmas in as we could. We started by getting the train from Leeds to Halifax to go to the Christmas market at the Piece Hall. I have never looked around properly and there are some lovely independent shops there. We then got the train back to Leeds where we did some Christmas shopping and had a look around the Christmas market. Definitely no where near finished with the Christmas shopping but at least we’ve made a start. It was also National Mince Pie Day and Morrisons was giving out free mince pies in Trinity, what a day to be alive!

Sunday was supposed to be a more restful day but we have an ongoing issue that Pip needs new ski gear (for February but she needs to practice beforehand) and I haven’t been able to find anything on Vinted that she will wear (well I did find some stuff but she says it looks like barbie on steroids because it is neon pink). Anyway, one trip to Xscape’s Black Friday sales later and she has a lovely set of salopettes and jacket and won’t look like she got dressed at a jumble sale!

I’m hoping for more in the way of outdoor adventures next week!!
