The week started with a lovely trip to our local cinema with my Mum and Pip to watch the Nutcracker from the Royal Ballet. Pip really enjoyed it and it was lovely to spend an evening with the both of them.
We have a tradition of doing something as a family on Christmas Eve that is completely non-Christmassy. This year we did an Escape Room at Locked in Games in Leeds. It was hard, there was some discussion about whether everyone was pulling their weight, we didn’t get out!!

In our defence, it was a hard room for just 3 of us and the puzzle we got stuck on, even the room host couldn’t explain what we were supposed to do!
Christmas was the usual attempt to see everyone and a dash down the M1! We went completely rogue this year and went out for a curry for Christmas lunch, which was delicious! The food was amazing and plentiful and it was lovely not to have to do any cooking or cleaning up.
Pip and I had a bonus night in the van on Christmas evening and despite the weather being freezing we were toasty warm and comfortable! I’m very much looking forward to more wintery nights away in the new year.
Christmas week ended with packing the car up and heading up to Cumbria to celebrate new year with friends.

A busy week but a lovely week seeing lots of family and having lots of Christmas mini adventures!
