Constellations and Rhubarb Scones

This week didn’t start well, while messing around with Pip, I tried to pick her up off the ground and pulled something in my back. Consequently I’ve not been able to sit down comfortably all week!

However back injuries did not stand in the way of adventures. On Thursday evening we got dressed in all of our warmest clothes and headed to Astrocampus at the University of York. During the hour session we learned about constellations, the Aurora Borealis and looked at their telescopes (no looking through the telescopes as it was thick cloud and we would have seen nothing).

Friday was a training day off school for Pip so she came in to work with me and then we bunked off and went in to Leeds for a spot of lunch and shopping. We finally managed to eat at Maki & Ramen, I’d probably give it a 6/10. Food was good but not amazing.

On Sunday I was supposed to go for a walk while Pip and Andy were off at golf training but my back still hurts and I was very easily influenced by the National Trust’s social media, so I went to eat scones at Beningborough Hall instead! The scones get 9/10, they lost a mark for the massive chunks of ginger!

Finally can we all just pause for a moment to appreciate that whilst this week has been wet and bitterly cold, I did manage to sit outside to eat my scone on Sunday. I don’t want to cause a panic, but spring may be on the way!
