I’m not saying that you can’t have adventures in the rain, but it is more difficult when it is raining all the bloody time!!
I really thought this was going to be an adventureless week of just getting soaked every day on the way two and from work with the most exciting thing that happened being driving to Liverpool and back in the rain (a round trip of 6 fun hours!!).

On Saturday Pip and Andy headed off to Finland for a week of skiing so I forced myself to get out on Sunday for some fresh air. The plan was to walk up a big hill but the weather wasn’t great again so I picked a smaller hill and headed to Ilkley Moor. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground in Ilkley but the top of the Moor was covered in proper snow with it being up to my knees in some places!!

Probably don’t follow my hiking in the snow plan which was to just follow someone else’s footsteps in the hope that they were going in the same direction as me (I did have a map and a phone as well so I wasn’t going to die). Whilst wandering 6 miles in the snow I made friends with a grouse, found a snow man and saw the Twelve Apostles and the Cow and Calf. All in all a pretty adventurous Sunday, who needs to go to Finland for snow!!
