We spent a week in Copenhagen in September 2021, it was a last minute booking due to Covid changing our plans. Accommodation in Copenhagen is pretty pricey anyway but as Denmark had just turned green, prices seemed to be rising by the minute. We decided to go with Steel House as it was a good price, had a pool, is a great location and just very cool.

The location is brilliant, 10 minutes walk from the Central Train station and the same to City Hall Square. Vesterport station is about 5 minutes walk away.
Steel House has a mixture of double, twin, 4-bed and 6-bed rooms. These can be booked as private rooms or you can book as a bed in a dorm. We had a 4-bed room booked as private room as there are only 3 of us. Bunkbeds are always an adventure but the beds were very comfortable and cleverly set up with a plug point, a usb point and individual reading lights. I was slightly worried when I realised that we were right next to the lifts but the soundproofing was perfect and there was minimal noise from outside the room.
The hostel has a comfortable communal area on the ground floor with a small bar and café selling breakfast, sandwiches and snacks.

There is also a large and well equipped kitchen which can be used for a small additional charge. On the lower floors there is a swimming pool which Pip loved and was great for a bit of down time. There is also a really well equipped gym, TV room and cinema. The kitchen, pool and gym have an extra charge but it was only a few pounds.

Steel house is next to a large lake which was perfect for a morning run. It’s also very close to a couple of 7/11 stores which were perfect for a quick, cheap breakfast ( who doesn’t love warm chocolate croissants for breakfast?). There are also lots of places to eat nearby, we’d especially recommend Pho Hanoi which was the most amazing Vietnamese food.
Lovely post! I’m just booking a trip to Copenhagen for August – hotel prices aren’t cheap! Steel House has come up on my search, would you say it’s quiet and clean (my two non-negotiables!!)

Definitely. We were right next to the lift and I was worried that it was going to noisy but it wasn’t my at all.
