This is a newly opened Travel Lodge that we decided to give a try as it was a good price. We were really pleased with our decision as we had a comfortable night and it was in a great location.
The hotel:
The hotel is new so everything is clean and shiny. The entrance consists of reception and the bar/ breakfast area. From here you will need a key card to get to the rooms.
Possibly the most exciting thing was that they had robot vacuum cleaners at work in the bar area when we arrived.
We paid £10.00 for early check in as they do not have any luggage storage facilities. This was well worth it to be able to drop our bags off before we went out exploring. We hadn’t booked this in advance so it is possible to do it on the day as long as they have availability.
We had a family room on the first floor. It was made up with a double bed and 2 singles. The room was a good size so we still had plenty of space. The bathroom had a shower with shower curtain, hand wash and shampoo/bodywash.
The room had tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of towels and pillows.
We had a great night’s sleep, the room was comfortable and there was minimal noise.
Breakfast:
The buffet breakfast is served in the bar area. There was a good selection of cooked foods, cereals and breads along with juices and hot drinks.
Around the hotel:
The hotel is close to shops and restaurants. Stepney Green underground station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel so it’s a great location for exploring London.
