We had an evening flight in to Phuket and then an early morning pick up the next day so it made sense to stay somewhere near the airport.
The Sixteenth Naiyang Beach Hotel did the job we needed it to, it was comfortable and clean and great for a good night’s sleep.
The Hotel
The hotel has a selection of rooms including a standard double, King sized, twin beds and a family room. We had a family room with 2 large double beds and a small sitting area with a sofa.
There is a pool on the roof overlooking the airport which unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to try out. It looked like there used to be a bar on the roof top as well but that is not operating at the moment.
The hotel serves breakfast at an additional fee. We decided to just go with breakfast from the 7-eleven next door. They also have a coffee shop in reception but again this didn’t seem to be operational. I am assuming that the hotel is still recovering from Covid and that is why some of their services are not back up and running yet.
There is also a small gym for guests to use with what looked like fairly new equipment.
Around the hotel
The hotel has several cafes nearby as well as a 7-eleven store which sells a variety of food and drink including warm croissants for breakfast. There is also a laundromat nearby.
The hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk from Naiyang Beach.
Getting there
We walked from the airport and it was less than 10 minutes, if you have a lot of luggage than there are plenty of taxis at the airport and it would only be a couple of minutes drive.
The hotel also advertises a shuttle service to the airport although we did not use this.
