Las Iguanas is a national chain of restaurants serving Latin American inspired food. We visited the Royal Festival Hall branch and were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and enjoy some rare British sunshine. The staff were so helpful and friendly and were able to accommodate us even though we didn’t have a booking and were a group of 9.

The food:
The menu has a variety of Latin American flavours that includes burgers, Brazilian curries, Argentinian grills and Mexican classics. You can also opt for sharing platters or choose from a number of smaller tapas plates.
Between us we tried a number of different dishes and everyone was more than happy with their meals, especially as they came out quickly and piping hot.
I had the mushroom fajita stack and Andy had a beef burrito. Pip decided to eat from the children’s menu and went for chicken fajitas which also came with a side of chips and a dessert and drink. I was impressed by the number of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

Allergies:
3 of the group we were with ave Coeliac disease and there is an excellent gluten free menu or option to make dishes gluten free.
Drinks:
Cocktail and mocktails were 2 for 1 while we were there and Pip and I can certify that the Berry Fizz mocktail is delicious.

We visited in May 2023.
