It’s the week before school breaks up for Christmas and two weeks to go until actual Christmas and the festivities are ramping up.
Thursday was my work Christmas get together. My team have had a very frustrating time recently so we decided that axe throwing would be the festive way to end the year!! It’s way more difficult than you would think but I managed to perfect the two handed, “lob it as hard as you can” technique and managed to come overall second by some last minute fluke! I did have visions of moving to a Scottish castle and becoming a professional axe thrower but I couldn’t move my arms the next day so I’ve shelved that idea.

Friday was also a work get together with another team I work with, which was a really love way to catch up with everyone.
Saturday was Pip playing in a Christmas golf competition where she was determined to win best dressed! She went all out in an inflatable gingerbread costume (she didn’t actually play in the costume) and not only won but also had a queue of ladies having their Christmas party waiting to have a photo with her. Her team did reasonably well in the competition and I got to have a quiet coffee in the bar so a fab morning all round!

We then hot footed it to the Christmas Fair at Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People where she was persuaded to accompany Father Christmas on his visit. She’s currently taking bookings for next year and planning how she can go bigger and better!
Sunday was my family’s Christmas Day, we met halfway at The Boat Inn in Sprotbrough (near Doncaster) for lunch and to exchange presents. The food was delicious but the service was rubbish and it took 3 hours to get through lunch which was really disappointing.
