Eleganca Apartments – Dubrovnik, Croatia

Located right inside the walls on Dubrovnik’s old town, these apartments were a brilliant base to explore Dubrovnik.

The Accommodation:

There are 3 apartments, each on a different floor. The apartments are accessed through a door in one of the alleyways and up a beautiful wooden staircase. Each of the apartments sleeps 4 with a bedroom and a sofa bed. They also have a small kitchen area with a coffee maker, kettle, electric hob, fridge and sink. The bathrooms also come equipped with a washing machine.

We had our own bedroom and Pip had the double sofa bed to herself. There was plenty of space for us all and the apartment was really comfortable.

The only thing to note is that because the buildings are old, have original windows and the apartments are right in the middle of the old town, there was some noise from the bars nearby and from the rubbish collection in the mornings. We didn’t find this too much of a problem though.

Around the apartments:

The apartments are right in the heart of Dubrovnik so the whole of the Old Town is on your doorstep. Just a short walk away you have coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars, the walls and other historic sights and locations.

Accessibility:

The apartments don’t have a lift so are not accessible for those with mobility issues. There are also a lot of stairs up to the apartments.

Luggage storage:

There is no official luggage storage but they allowed us to leave our luggage in the entrance hall after we had checked out.

Getting there:

The walled town of Dubrovnik does not allow cars so it is not possible to drive to the apartment. We arranged to meet the host just outside and he parked our car for us for the time we were there.

This did mean that we had to carry our luggage through the Old Town which was fine but something to be aware of if this might be difficult.

We stayed in August 2022.
